Hey r/photography. I recently made the upgrade to full frame and am absolutely loving it so far. I bought a 5D Mark II used off eBay and it came with a 50mm f/1.8 prime. It's a great lens but limited since it's the only one I have right now for my new full frame body. I'm big into landscape photography and am also wanting to shoot wide landscape portraits like I was when I was using APS-C. I know the 50mm is a great lens for close up portraits because of how fast it is and can get that nice bokeh but i'm looking for something that can go wide and also hit 35mm, one of my favorite focal lengths. Would you guys recommend the Canon 17-40mm f/4L? If you have other suggestions please let me know. I'm looking for something on the cheaper side (don't think I can justify the purchase of the 16-35mm f/2.8 or f/4 at the moment) and so far this lens seems to fit the bill. Also, I'm going to emphasize that I'm looking for lens advice on a Full Frame body, so only EF mounts. Thanks! via /r/photography http://ift.tt/2wyKgJV
