I'm having trouble and I need help searching for the answer. I've been shooting since 2007. Started with a Nikon D40 and a 35mm f1.8 that I just loved. Often would shoot wide open, and didn't notice too many issues. Got a D90 when the first one broke, and that one seemed fine. Also now have a D5000 for backup. But the last year or so, I am noticing quality issues no matter what equipment I'm using and no matter the lighting conditions. It's hard to pinpoint, because it's hard to describe/google. It happens with both bodies and both lenses (the other is a 18-105mm). They look less clear, less crisp, less creamy than they used to, and I'm nailing focus WAY less often. I uploaded a before and after example (from 2010 and today); the 2010 shot is edited, because I couldn't find a good example unedited. The shot from today is SOOC. http://ift.tt/2ePvhDv The fact that it doesn't seem to matter what equipment makes me think I'm the problem. But I'm MORE experienced now, not less - could I have suddenly picked up a bad habit?? How do I try to figure out what is wrong?? I'm so unhappy with what I've been producing lately, it's killing my joy. via /r/photography http://ift.tt/2xYwlxj
