TLDR: 8 year old fell from a bunk bed onto my medium format Mamiya c220 film camera. There is no physical damage I can see to the camera but im not sure how else to check for damage (also the 8 year old is okay!)I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I’m currently on vacation and in the middle of the night last night my family friend’s 8 year old son fell from the top bunk of a bunk bed onto my backpack with my mamiya c220 medium format film camera inside. Fortunately, He is alright but I want to make sure my camera is okay. I checked for damage and there doesn’t appear to be any physical damage to the camera and I removed the lens and i could physically she that the aperture ring was moving properly and that the shutter was opening and closing (don’t really have a way to check if the speed is correct but it seems correct. I’m pretty worried that it might be messed up in a way that I can’t physically see. That being said I’m not sure how else to check for damage to my camera. Does anyone have other ways to check for damage? (Without developing a roll?)Sorry for the rant, I just love this camera!Ps anyone have experience dealing with claims for film cameras with USAA? I’m gonna submit a claim and praying they’ll let me send it to keh camera (where I bought it to check for damage) via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2KXne5s
