Disneyland photographer dropped and broke my camera.

TLDR: Disney employee dropped my camera and it does not work as well as it did before it was dropped. Advice?I was at Disneyland last week and I asked a Disneyland photographer to take a picture of my family and me, she offered to take one on my camera as well (Canon rebel t6, purchased in April 2018).She took a few pictures on my camera and as she began to switch from my personal camera to her camera, she dropped mine on the lens and lower left body. She apologized profusely and I snapped a few quick picture to make sure it had basic functions but upon further inspection I noticed my camera now make a louder sound when focusing and capturing. It also doesn’t auto focus like it used to.As is Disney’s fashion, they have been understanding and cordial but I worry I’m going to turn up empty handed.I went ahead and filed a personal property damage report with the resort but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this before. I have the info on the Disney photographer but I believe she meant to harm. I have clear documentation of where and when it happened because I have pictures the photographer took on my camera (before she dropped it) and pictures from the Disney website taken by the photographer. If so, how long did the claims process take? Should I send my camera into Canon for a diagnostic? Is there anything else I should do? Have I done anything wrong? For context: I’m a broke ass student who makes a little pocket cash from my photography but it is by no means my career. Thanks! via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2w7u5nl
