Wanting some advice. First, a little about me.Ive done TFP and charged some models (lingerie, fashion, portrait and cosplay) for a good year now. I would say my photography itself is pretty good now (lighting, photoshop, direction/communication) however, its been a very slow climb to be a "go to" photographer in my area.Looking at some of the photographers who are local to me, they have over 20k followers on Instagram (I have 1000) and are now doing fashion/glamour shoots for magazines. What separates their work from mine? One of the biggest things is that their models are full time models and are way more attractive! So my questions are:Do clients/regular people see photographers as better when they photo better looking people? Is it worth paying a huge investment on models (including long distance travel and studio costs) in order to bring more attention to a portfolio?Does shooting average looking models no matter how good your photography is hurt your portfolio? Is it possible that some models may not consider working TFP no matter how good your photography is purely based on the fact that you are shooting average looking models? Also, Id like to point out that every subject Ive ever shot is beautiful in their own way but society is fickle and so I feel I need to go along with it to become noticed :) via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2vXLm2r
