Hello to all i am not sure if this the right subreddit but i'll try to ask this

I ‘heard’ a rumour that when you buy a new lens, the ONE THING you should always do, is put a UV filter on it, even if it’s just to protect the lens itself. Do you agree with this?My father-in-law just gave our daughter is old Pentax K7 as he’s upgraded to a newer model. She doesn’t have any lenses yet, but she was borrowing his 70-200 (which she now really wants). I’m wondering if it would be best to get it along wit ha UV filter or one of those neutral density ones? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2P9zLpH
