Sports Photography

I am a hobby photographer. My daughter is playing comp soccer this year, and I am going to try to get pictures for the team. Sports photography is new to me. I live in Northern CA, so we have a lot of sun. Bright harsh sun. I know ideally you shoot without a polarizing filter to allow more light in, but what about in the middle of the afternoon? I have a 70-200 2.8 lens, so I have the ability to let a lot of light in. When I shoot in bright conditions, between the white jerseys and grass I have to stop way down to avoid blown highlights. I’m wondering if a polarizing filter would be helpful in this situation. For example I was shooting f4, 1/4000s, iso 200, and the highlights were blown. Thanks. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2BdTVMf
