Now that questions threads are allowed again, figured I'd throw this one out.I don't do much astrophotography, but I'm joining some friends for the meteor shower tonight and thought I'd try to get some pictures. I don't have a wide-aperture wide-angle lens, and I don't really feel like picking one up or renting one just for this night, so what would work better on my D750? My Tamron 45/1.8 or Nikon 16-35/4?Is 45mm too long to get a decent exposure without star trails? Conversely, is f/4 wide enough to capture meteors? I could try out some star trail shots with the Nikon stopped down, but since meteors are a very brief flash in the sky, I don't know if they'd stand out.Or, crazy idea, could my X100F work okay for astro? It's a 35mm eFOV lens that opens up to f/2... via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2vDr1A5
