It seems I need a license to shoot MPEG-4 videos? (Canon EOS R; AT&T patent)

The Canon EOS R Advanced User Guide states on page 629 thatThis product is licensed under AT&T patents for the MPEG-4 standard and may be used for encoding MPEG-4 compliant video and/or decoding MPEG-4 compliant video that was enconded only (1) for a personal and non-commercial purpose or (2) by a video provider licensed under the AT&T patents to provide MPEG-4 compliant video. No lincense is granted or implied for any other use for MPEG-4 standard.Does this mean anyone who takes videos and uses them for commercial purposes is in breach of license? I'm in particular thinking of youtube uploaders with a view to profits, or wedding videos, and even including people and companies that do camera reviews, for example, DPReview, etc.I'd be grateful for some insight and how this is meant to work in the real world and maybe in different countries.edit: expanded to quote full license text. via /r/photography http://bit.ly/2Tt0GhT
