Often I see photographers, particularly on Instagram, who produce a lot of photos that to me look very over-edited and almost cartoonish and one of the main things I see is smoothing out all the pores in their subject's skin and making them look like they have no pores. Personally I prefer to leave people's skin alone in portraits because that's just how they look and it's fine to have pores on your face and there's not much reason to remove it?
