Just Blew My First Paid Shoot

So I just totally blew my first paid shoot and feel a bit depressed.Long story short I had the wrong aperture value for the majority of the shots I took, which left me with hair and facial features out of focus. I couldn't tell while I was shooting because the in camera previews looked ok on the small LCD screen and I was dumb enough not to zoom in and check the details. Was shooting on a new camera with a new lens--that didnt help. But clearly I was out of my depth, haven't focused enough on shooting fundamentals as opposed to post-processing, and made a ton of amateurish mistakes. I thought I was ready but definitely wasn't. Client is understandably upset.Screwing up when you're just shooting for your own port is one thing, but it's another level of hurt when you mess up for someone else.Anyone else have similar stories of messing up on the job? It would help to know I'm not alone. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2Hieusw
