/r/photographs Top Post [April 2019]: /u/clondon - "Space"

Each month, we feature the most upvoted post of /r/photographs along with an introduction to the photographer.April 2019's top post is from Chelsea London (/u/clondon)."Space"From the photographer:Hi everyone! I’m a documentary travel photographer based out of Prague. My work focuses strongly on colour and composition to elicit a sense of place for the viewer. This photo was shot through a window of an apartment in London. The building across the street is a cafe/workspace with their signage on top. It felt very mid-century space age, so I wanted to play that up with the lines of the window sill and the subtle colour reflections from the sunrise. I composed it from a low angle as the moment to me rang nostalgic of being a kid sitting on the floor gazing upward out the window, dreaming of the possibility of space travel in my future (or at least Space Camp ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯).You may see more of my work on my site clondon.me or my instagram (@clondon).Congratulations to Chelsea! Go check out her other work, and feel free to ask her more about her work here in the comments. For your chance to be featured here on /r/photography or if you just want to share your photos with the community, please feel free to submit your work over at /r/photographs. via /r/photography http://bit.ly/2LgdR6d
