Can white lights of different color temperatures be mixed to achieve middle temperatures?

If I have white lights from either end of the color spectrum (2800k, 6500k), can I adjust their brightness to mix them and achieve intermediate color temperatures? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2QxOak2
