Decided to do some mini sessions to fill out a day that was open on my calendar. It was at a local wildflower meadow.Facts about my session: -on a Saturday -$99 -included some digitals -11am-2pm. 20 minute time slots. -beautiful fall colors. -started promoting 1 month out, ran about $40 in Facebook ads. This is my first mini session. Sounded like a great way to meet new people, offer a "sample" to potential clients, and be able to offer low prices sessions while remaining profitable. Here's where the rant comes in: I only booked one session. It was to a previous client. Their photos came out PHENOMENAL. Like, I was very proud of it. I ended up giving them a longer session because I didn't have any others to get to...The weather was perfect, the meadow was beautiful. This would've been a great session for anyone else. But I can't figure out why I couldn't book them... I got 100 or so link clicks, but no conversions. I had a simple landing page with a simple checkout form and a simple list of terms (groups of 5 or less, don't be late, those kind of things).I'm frustrated because I know this could've been incredible and super fun.For those of you who have run mini sessions, how do you make them successful? Was the price too high? Would $75 be better? Was the time too early? Should I have done 3-7pm? Would a "themed" session rather than "meadow with pretty colors" have been better? Thanks for your help. :) via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2lYDpsG
