So I've been looking into getting a Canon 5D IV or the Canon 5DS and the biggest factor is the 5D IV has a 30 MP sensor but is all around better, while the 5DS has a 50MP sensor. (Just so I don't get any unwanted advice I've already chosen the 5D IV it'll work great for me.) This research got me thinking; how important is sensor size and number of MP? Do you guys ever really need more than 30MP? How do you feel it would impact your photography if at all to have a 50MP vs a 30MP or even a 24MP camera?
