Most of my photos don't conform to instagram's square, 4:5, or 1.91:1 aspect ratios. When possible I do re-crop them to fit those ratios when posting to Instagram. However very often that makes for a bad result. Awkward framing, bodies cut off at awkward places, or just photos that were edited and cropped already, without those ratios in mind.I'm curious what solutions other people have come up with for this. The most obvious solution would seem to be a black or white background to fill in the blank space needed to match one of the ratios. Downside is I feel that almost always looks very unprofessional, like a horribly matted photo in a frame. It also ruins the grid layout of your profile/wall.What do you do for these types of photos? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2niPVn6
