How do you ask to take people's photos?

I'm very curious as to how all you phrase the question. Do you have any mannerisms, tips, ways to appear most trustworthy, or convince others that you're not out to get them?And if rejected, do you ask again or leave it (even if it's a photo that hurts to pass up)? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/396DjCP
