So we know the R5 is coming and we can assume the R6 rumours are also right. So what’s that hold for the R and RP?Personally I feel the R is dead it sits Awkwardly next to the R6 with a higher MPs but no IBIS. I feel if it remains on the market it can’t cost more or the same as the R6 as it will just confuse the market and dropping it below the R6 will mean people might just buy it over the R6.As for the RP I feel it’s here to stay even without a price drop. As Canon continues to fill out the RF Lens line with mid to low end lenses the RP will continue to make sense as a entry level camera.
