So i've been doing documentary/street/travel photogarphy for about 4 years now and I've come to the point where I'm fairly confident I want to make a career out of doing the work. The problem is i've been financing my hobby from my parent's account. I know I won't be making bank if I venture down this road, but I need to be able to sustain the trips to buy gear/ basic survival. I need some info about life as a press/magazine photographer.If i'm a agency photographer(AFP/Getty/Reuters) do I get a salary or is it freelance situation. Can anybody share a ballpark of what the money is like.Do they do a partial accomodation/ meal coverage if i'm travelling for taking pictures.I'm not really in it for the money( I think there's little) but I need to know basic survival is ensured before going all in. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2WiZe5H
