Is this a good camera and lens to start off with?

I recently purchased a Canon EOS 250D/Rebel SL3, and a 50mm lens to start. I’m a beginner in photography with obviously A LOT to learn, and I’m hoping that this will be great way to start. I have have a friend who kind of ragged on me for starting with this camera - when I apparently could have purchased the almighty MK III, which is better I suppose? It was kind of a blow to my confidence right from the start, but I’ve done my research and it seems like the EOS 250D is the best for beginners - which I am, so I’m pretty comfortable with my purchase.I’m simply looking to learn and grow as I go, but I can’t help but second guess if I made the right decision..What do you guys think? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2SGJNC6
