Older Mac Mini for editing???

I was hoping to make a move to an Apple iMac to replace my desktop (i5 4690k, 16GB RAM, GTX 970).With the announcement regarding them moving to the ARM processors, I don’t think it’s the right time to purchase an iMac ( a considerable financial investment for me).I would like to move into the Apple ecosystem sooner than next year though, so I was contemplating purchasing a used Mac Mini ( most likely 2014) to bridge the gap.My only use for the system would be Capture One (Fuji) and Affinity Photo, and some GarageBand. How well would an older Mac Mini ( i5, and start least 8 GB) perform for these programs?Does anyone use one and could shed any light in this?Would an older mini give adequate performance? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/38l6pyN
