Can I ask for your thoughts on teen fashion style shoots that are age appropriate? I'm fairly conservative with any under 18 shoots, careful to enure pics are appropriate for a teen. For example a 15 y/o almost 16 asked for a shoot (mum asked too) and I shot it how I thought it would be appropriate and had no complaints, but it got me thinking - what is acceptable. Let me explain a bit. When I shoot a teen I go for the age appropriate look. A 13 y/o I tend to get them in jeans and some nice top or similar - I ask mum to assist daughter to pick out what's right. But when a 15-16 year old turns up, they want a more grown up look. Again, nothing inappropriate but if she asks for a cute skirt and top and the skirt is a bit short and mum's ok, nanna thinks they look great, but I still have that little bit of doubt... is the skirt a bit too short for a 15 y/o teen? How would I feel if my daughter was to do a shoot with another photographer... they have and they've been fine, but as dad, I've laid down some rules.Anyone like to share their thoughts? I'm interested in finding out other photographers and parents too, what they think. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2BLq3Yl
