I used to use panoramio, which showed little images of photos overlayed onto a map. When you clicked on one of the preview images, you'd see the full size image as well as other photos taken nearby that spot. For some reason google shut it down.Google maps (which owned panoramio) does use some of their photos still, but as far as I can tell, instead of photos being geotagged to a specific spot on a map, they're tied to points of interest. So you could search for so and so park, or whatever beach, but then you'd get a bunch of photos of that location not specifically tied to an exact area. It would just be a list of photos, not a map with specific locations of photos.Are there any good sites for browsing a map and viewing geotagged photos on it?Is there some way to get google maps to give you more specifically geotagged photos than associating them with a point of interest?Basically, I'd like to view a site that did what panoramio did. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2VckZTG
