Why does my 8MP iphone 6s seem to take better pictures than my 12MP gopro hero 5 black?

Basically that. I’ve heard that MP count doesnt necessary translate to photo quality but i still assumed that a device dedicated to videography and photography would make better captures, especially when the lenses arent even comparable in size. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/38dD0WV
