Night shot from a new (to me) Nikon D810.

I went for a walk tonight and took a few pictures while I was out. This picture was shot on a new (to me) Nikon D810 from a pathway that connects a neighborhood to a park. The intention here wasn’t to compare images between cameras, or take a series of shots at different apertures to analyze the results—this is just me stepping out to clear my mind and trying out my first full frame camera a little bit more.https://ift.tt/32qbyEk the lights in the park were off, except the two pathway lights and the parking lot lights in the background. I was surprised to see the color gradient from orange to dark blue in the sky. In person, the sky appeared dark except for some light pollution from the grocery store and gas station off to the right.Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience. I always thought my D7100 performed well in the dark with this same lens, but this camera is markedly better with much less noise. I understand why full frame sensors have better ISO performance and I’ve seen low light images from this camera online...but seeing the results in person is a different experience.Camera: Nikon D810 Lens: 20-35mm f/2.8 D ISO: 3200 Aperture: 2.8 Shutter: 1/10 handheld Note: I also cropped the image before putting the white border on it. via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2FunoEg
