Role of the camera itself

I understand that the human being behind the camera is the one taking the photo. The eye to be exact. But what is the role of camera itself? To be exact, I am an amateur photographer and am talking about analogue photography here. I understand that different films have different sensibilities to light, that different lenses are accustomed to different distances and that different adjustment of the shutter speed and aperture results in different exposures to light. However, I don't quite understand what does the camera itself influence? Like the black box, it's shape and size and design. I hope someone understands what I am thinking about. :) via /r/photography https://ift.tt/3793vhh
