HEIC Format on iPhone? Or stick with JPG?

My iPhone takes great pictures on the fly, but I noticed a while back it has switched over to defaulting to HEIC format. There are plenty of HEIC to JPG Converters, but should I even bother going through that trouble? Some programs still don't support HEIC viewing so its an extra step to convert them.Is HEIC worth using or should I just have my iPhone using JPG for better and easier compatibility? HEIC supposedly can save space, but I noticed the photos are sometimes more dull until they are converted to JPG anyhow. Those who are using an iPhone for some on-the-fly photos, what do you recommend? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/3lplfge
