I shoot portraits mainly using a 50 mm prime, and old Canon T2i. Nothing fancy, but it's what works for me and my clients are almost always happy with the results. One thing I found recently is people's self-perceptions seem to be getting further afield from how I see them through my camera. I think it's because of Instagram filters honestly, and how basically everyone takes photos regularly and manipulates them in software. One thing I am hoping to start doing, and I wanted to get your advice on, is to ask clients if they can provide me with photos of themselves, taken within the last 2 or 3 years, that they really like.I feel like this would give me a baseline so that when I'm doing work in Lightroom I would have something to compare my end result against, and hopefully my photo would match their perceptions of themselves more closely.Good, bad, or mediocre idea? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/3xnhGJB
