Hi,I hope the title is correct.I did some tests on my camera, Nikon Z5, and I've noticed it pulls blacks between 2 2/3 stops to 4 stops up.Test I did was following:Used a Grey 18% Nikon card and a Gossen Luna light meter.I first measured the grey card in even light, both with light meter, and camera (spot), and as expected they gave exactly same value. I used both incident and reflected measuring on light meter. Then I used the blackest shirt I've found, and my very black cat, measuring with camera (spot) and light meter.@ f/2 ISO 100Black Shirt 1Black Shirt 2Very black sleeping catLight Meter (spot)1/41/41/4Light meter (incident)1/81/81/4Camera (spot)1/21'4'Stops difference2 stops3 stops4 stopsI expected to be around 1-1/2 stops, I know that from my Zone II shirt to Zone V there's 3 stops, but for some reason I had the feeling from what I've read and noticed at other cameras the rule is 2 stops to get black. What are your results on your equipment, based on experience/measuring ? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/aIbwSfT
