Hello r/photography, wannabe amateur photographer here. I love taking photos with my smartphone camera but it often seems like it has a lot of limitations, especially since it's a cheap phone. A couple examples include image quality, strange lighting issues (such as when I try to take pictures of the sky), and the digital zoom being worthless. If I choose to pursue it, I can see myself becoming very passionate about photography however I know next to nothing about cameras of any kind and I only have photography knowledge equal to my personal experience. So here are my criteria I guess: - Somewhat portable - Beginner friendly but not lacking in features - Something that can be used to take impromptu pictures when I see a good opportunity as well as allowing me to adjust settings before I shoot Honestly, I don't have an approximate budget because I'm a complete noob, but under $500 is probably reasonable. Thanks! via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2OEsYDd
