The last couple of years I have slowly migrated away from using my DSLRs to take most of my day to day photos. I'm only bringing the DSLR for special occasions. One of the reasons to why I'm shooting with my phone is that it is so much easier to quickly edit and share a few photos with friends and family. I have been trying to make a workflow where I can easily transfer a few photos to the phone and then share it but every smartphone companion app that is out there seems horribly outdated with terribly confusing menus and random error messages. Just to transfer a few images from my GX80 to my phone is a 20 min frustration in trying to connect, choose and then reconnect when it fails. I previously was doing the same with a Sony Nex5t and even though the app was slightly better it was still a slow and frustrating workflow. Are there any manufacturers out there that excels when it comes to their mobile apps? And do we think that we would start to get more native support in cameras to share easily with smartphones on the go? via /r/photography https://ift.tt/2PeWkcC
