Hi, My family and I had recently been overseas, and came back in early February to find multiple water damaged photo albums. These range from my parents’ childhood photo albums, to that of my sister’s and brother’s, constructed over a lifetime. It is an understatement to say that this is a disastrous loss for my family, especially my parents.I feel helpless, and thus am turning to you fine people of reddit, hoping for some directions.7 photo albums were damaged: Most pages are stuck together, with large amounts of colour bleeding, and some fungi growth. All photos have distinct amounts of damage, with some having been spared, others showing extensive damage. Some, if not most of the photos are prints from film, and thus unique, with no option of reprinting. I would say that there are about 500 damaged photos in total.Do you happen to know of any photo restoration services, or techniques to preserve the photos and stop further damage? (I live in Australia)I am a student, and have about $3000 in life savings which I am happy to use, hoping to gift a new set of photo albums for next Christmas.Thank you for reading, and thank you for any advice <3 via /r/photography https://www.reddit.com/r/photography/comments/f4zzf5/photo_album_water_damage_any_help_greatly/?utm_source=ifttt
